Peeking House, London

Under strict planning guidelines including issues with overlooking, amenity area and unit size, this scheme is carefully considered in order to overcome all issues. As a result, the proposal was conceived as a bespoke, simple and subtle insertion into the streetscape.
A split level section is proposed. A ramp down to the entrance and an excavated sunken garden provide natural light to all elements of the house plan. Living spaces flow from the front to the rear of the site with the kitchen and living room on the upper levels making the most of natural daylight. The detailing of the timber celebrates the craftsmanship and bespoke nature of the proposals ensuring a sensitive and successful integration into the existing neighbourhood.
