SANDOWN HOUSE

PDF Project Profile

Accessed down a long driveway, the brick and timber composition is strongly influenced by the classical proportions, rhythm and regularity often found in the surrounding context. The palette of brick and exposed timber is also used internally where full height floor to ceiling window openings with inbuilt joinery contribute to an overall aesthetic. Rooms are characterised by curving walls shaping and defining space.

A fully landscaped rear and front garden combine stone setts, perforated metal screens and mature planting. A natural swimming pool leads directly from one of the main living spaces extending into the rear garden.
