The Shannon Estuary provides a stunning backdrop to this new build home in the south east of Ireland. With distant views towards the Atlantic, taking in this magnificent scenery was key to the concept design. Formerly a factory, the white rendered shell is retained. A carefully crafted insertion to the build sits comfortably amongst the contexts where the combination of slate, zinc and glazing aims to create a very contemporary scheme.

Downstairs, an open plan living space, dining and kitchen are connected to the outdoors by patios running around the whole home. Voids are used internally throughout the scheme connecting spaces both practically and visually. Platform bridges connect between each room.
