Bevan’s Butchers has been part of the fabric of Richmond Road for nearly 100 years. The objective of the proposal is simple: to secure a long-term home for an established and popular local business, allowing Bevan’s to continue trading from Richmond Road for many years to come.

The scheme incorporates a careful replacement of the existing buildings at 136-138 Richmond Road with a new, purpose-designed commercial space at ground floor. The site will remain in retail and commercial use, with Bevan’s continuing as the occupier.

The proposed building will respond sensitively to the character of Richmond Road, taking cues from the existing building and surrounding streetscape. The scheme also provides an opportunity to create a significantly better-performing and more sustainable building, while safeguarding the long-term employment and retail use of the site and of this popular, local business.

After working alongside Bevan’s at their Effingham premises, we now look forward to supporting the butchery in Kingston.
