AVANTGARDE RE-CLAD
Shoreditch | London

There are approximately 4000 residential buildings in the UK that have been identified by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) that require remediation works following the identification of unsafe cladding.

Following a PAS 9980 review and an EWS1 assessment at Avantgarde Estate in Shoreditch, we have collaborated with fire engineers, building control, suppliers and specialist contractors to undertake the required cladding remediation to the twenty four storey residential complex. Works have been undertaken through the Building Safety Fund (BSF).

Within the technically complex remediation, combustable insulation was removed, non-combustable insulation installed, fire barriers were appropriately set and the stone and zinc rain-screen facades were finally reinstated. Decking and secondary support structure to balconies were also replaced with non combustable components. Soffits to inset balconies were also remediated within the works. Following the completion of the works, drawings were prepared in collaboration with the fire engineer for inclusion in the fire brigade information boxes.
